GILROY – Blackout Window Tinting is alone atop the Men’s EE League standings after a 22-18 edging of VFW BIngo Thursday at Las Animas Park.
Alex Pena and Jason Corral each went 4-for-5 and drove in four runs as Blackout moved to 2-0. Frank Duran provided four hits and plated three Tint runs. Anthony Duran added three hits and four RBI. Matt McKay and Gabe Perez each bagged four hits and Anthony Morales homered for VFW BIngo.
Nathan Mandrell went 4-for-4 and scored three runs to spark Bay Area Communications Loco Boys by the Good Ole Boys 13-9.
Jimmy Joe Castaneda’s RBI-triple highlighted a nine-run rally in the top of the seventh for the Loc Boys. Fernando Silva added three hits and anchored the Loco Boys defense at third base. Bill Miller went 3-for-3 and Paul Iwanaga added a single, double and triple to the Good Ole Boys offense.
Gilbert Cano went 2-for-3 and scored three runs as 1-1 Courtesy Chevrolet defeated the Radiator Doctor 12-8. Freddy Barbosa came off the Courtesy bench to single and triple, scoring twice. Ruben Huerta went 3-for-3 and Tiger Maquinalez scored two runs for Radiator Doctor.
Campbell’s Towing (2-0) erased an 8-7 deficit in the top the seventh inning with a six-run outburst, leading to a 13-8 nod over Team Heinzen in Men’s E League play Thursday at Christmas Hill Park.
Jessse Rawlins, Chris Micelli and Brnadon Straw hit consecutive singles to ignite the Campbell’s seventh. Adam Garcia and Rayce Zamarripa each finished with three hits for Campbell’s. Mark Logan went 3-for-4 and Chris Soto laced a three-run double for Team Heinzen.
The Titans joined Campbell’s at 2-0 with a forfeit win over Solid Ground.
Gary Botill, Danny Molina and Terry Smith collected three hits each as St. Mary Men’s Club powered by Claddahg Brew Crew 18-8. Scott Aldridge drove in four Men’s Club runs with a sacrifice fly, single and triple. Mike Keith went 4-for-4, Dave Slater 3-for-4 for Claddagh.
Cosa Nostra is 3-0 atop the Men’s DD League after Friday’s 21-13 decision over the Hustlers at Gavilan Sports Park.
Matias Franco went 4-for-4, Daniel Garcia scored four runs and Beto Avila and Nick Franco each homered for Cosa Nostra. Mike Nichols lashed two home runs to center for the Hustlers.
Joey Garcia went 5-for-5 and Ben Garcia scored four runs to pace 2-0 Krazy Koyote past Los Chilotes 22-14. Benito Landeros homered in a 3-for-4 night for Los Chilotes.
Joe Duran scored four runs and David Espinoza singled and doubled to lead the Slammers past Martini’s 20-8. Stephan Jones (3-for-3) and Drew Benowski hit consecutive homeres in the Martini’s fifth frame. Matt Coughlin went 3-for-3 and scored three Martini’s runs.
