Blanche A. Fanjoy died Feb. 2, 2004, in Gilroy.
Fanjoy was born 87 years ago in Pittsburgh, Penn., she came to the Bay Area and moved to Gilroy in 1997 to be with her son. She enjoyed needlepoint and quilting and was an avid football and baseball spectator. She loved to be in her son’s garden feeding the birds. Her laugh and smile will always be missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her son William Andrew Jr. and his wife Carolyn Verner, daughters Jean Gdyk, Joan Lyon, Kathryn Stueven and Janet Engstrom. Blanche is the grandmother of Karrie Wade, Jerry Stueven, Joanna Gdyk, Bill Frazer, Sally Garrison, Shelly Lewis, David Engstrom, John Engstrom, Michael Engstrom, Aundria Walker, Angelia Verner, Amy Moreno and Andrew William Verner. She is also survived by her sister Mildred Smith and close friend Ula-Mae.
A family service has been held under the direction of Habing Family Funeral Home.
