GILROY—A public employee union in Gilroy and city officials have reached a tentative agreement to avert a two-day strike the labor group planned for later this month, city officials announced Tuesday.
GILROY—Mayor Don Gage is unflinching at a public employee union’s threat to strike for two days next month, following an impasse reached during negotiations that began six months ago. In response, a union representative said Wednesday future strikes could be avoided if the city agrees to a few concessions.
GILROY—After six months of negotiations with the city, a labor union representing about 100 public employees in Gilroy has threatened to strike for two days in November, according to interim City Administrator Ed Tewes.
