A man who was sent to the hospital with major injuries resulting from a Dec. 6 hit and run collision has died, according to police.

Police are looking for a vehicle and motorist who struck a pedestrian and left the scene in Gilroy Dec. 6. The collision resulted in major injuries for the pedestrian, according to authorities.

Investigators continue to ask the public for help in obtaining more information about the vehicle and the collision.

GILROY—Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal hit-and-run incident in Gilroy as Salvador Briseno Gonzalez, a 57-year-old homeless man, the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office reported Wednesday.

A plea hearing for Sandra Arias, the Morgan Hill woman accused of felony hit and run in an incident that critically injured Joshua Valdez, 23, was continued Tuesday at South County Courthouse.

The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate a hit-and-run car crash that occurred in the area Hecker Pass Highway and Watsonville Road about 2:20 on Thursday. As of Friday morning, the suspect has not been caught. 

A woman who was injured after an erratic vehicle ran her off the road and sent her car careening into a ravine, is offering a reward for information about the suspect's identity.
