2 percent raise for police; union, city agree on contract

After nearly two months of negotiations, the City of Gilroy and the Gilroy Police Officers Association have agreed on a new two-year contract that awards 2 percent raises each year for all 59 police officers within the union.

City hiring development liasion

The City of Gilroy is in the "late stage" of hiring a $109,707 to $146,281 yearly salaried liaison between the city and the development community, according to LeeAnn McPhillips, Gilroy's human resources director.
