Just before noon, fire and police personnel responded to a report of a possible body in the flood control creek near the 7600 block of Forest Street, according to the GPD.

Firefighters retrieved a deceased male from the creek. The subject was fully clothed and partially submerged, according to the release.

The man was declared deceased at the scene, police said.

GPD officers turned the body over to the Santa Clara County Coroner’s office, where an autopsy will be conducted next week.

The subject’s identity is not being released at this time pending confirmation of fingerprints and notification of next of kin.
