Five fighters from Left2Right Boxing Club in San Martin will be
competing Saturday at the armory in Hollister as a tune-up for the
8th annual Desert Showdown Invitational Amateur Boxing Championship
in Coachella, Calif. on July 15-18.
HOLLISTER – Five fighters from Left2Right Boxing Club in San Martin will be competing Saturday at the armory in Hollister as a tune-up for the 8th annual Desert Showdown Invitational Amateur Boxing Championship in Coachella, Calif. on July 15-18.
Saturday’s fights will begin at 3 p.m. and are being put on by Hollister Bulldog Boxing Club.
Cesar Gomez, Fernando Barajas, Jackie Gomez, Jesus Gomez and Elizabeth Rodriguez will all be fighting for Left2Right. Rodriguez, 15, will be taking on Alexis Sanches of Selma Boxing Club of Fresno – the two hold state championships in their weight divisions but rarely meet due to a difference in age.
