Dear editor:

Council member Bob Dillon’s negative energy regarding the proposed Bullet Train is fascinating.

The Dispatch reported him as stating, “This is the time to drive a stake through this project’s heart. This is a boondoggle. It will cost twice as much as projected.”

Too bad he doesn’t apply the same vigorous opposition to the upcoming taxpayer rip-off known as the new Gilroy police station, a boondoggle that has grown from an $18,000,000 waste of funds to an incredible $28,000,000 palace. This is completely absurd.
