Marion Houser formerly of Johnson Funeral Home, Morgan Hill comes to the Habing Family Funeral Home with 13 years of pre-need experience, she has helped hundreds of families planning their funeral and cemetery needs in advance, saving them from unneeded stress and grief.
Marion is excited about educating the public of the many options available in funeral services today, including burial, cremation and memorial services, as well as the benefits of planning ahead. Born and raised in the Gilroy, Morgan Hill and San Martin area, Marion will use her knowledge of the community and her years of funeral and counseling experience to help the funeral pre-planning program as well as sale of grave spaces, mausoleum crypts and cremation graves and niches for Gavilan Hills Memorial Park and St. Mary’s Cemetery.

SJLC named four new board members
San Jose – The San Jose Leadership Council (SJLC) has named four new board members, including two South County residents: Dennis Taylor, Diane Urban, Ken Durbin and Sheryl Lee.
Taylor, a Gilroy resident, graduated from Community Leadership San Jose in 2004. He is the editor of Silicon Valley Biz Ink, a weekly business publication. Taylor’s other community activities include serving on the committee for Courageous Kids, an American Cancer Society’s program for children with cancer. He also writes a weekly column for the Gilroy Dispatch.
Diane Urban, a San Martin resident, graduated from Community Leadership San Jose in 2004. Urban was recently promoted to police captain from lieutenant by the San Jose Police Department. Urban’s other community activities include being the project leader for the San Martin 4H Horse Project and running the Royalty Program for the California State Horsemen’s Association for Region 6 (San Francisco to King City), which includes an annual competition for youth ages 9-19 years.
Ken Durbin, a Naglee Park resident, graduated from Community Leadership San Jose in 2001. Durbin is a professional development coach after working in professional development for Ernst & Young LLP for several years.
Sheryl Lee, a Willow Glen resident, graduated from Community Leadership San Jose in 2003. Sheryl Lee is a principal with Connected Steps, which helps businesses, nonprofits and individuals get focused in order to more effectively move their ideas and plans into action. Lee’s other community activities include serving as chair of the board for Rebuilding Together Silicon Valley.
The San Jose Leadership Council is a nonprofit organization committed to the development of leadership skills and opportunities through quality education and training programs that reflect the diversity of San Jose.
