Caryl Louise Cox died peacefully at her home in The Villages in
San Jose on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003.
Caryl Louise Cox died peacefully at her home in The Villages in San Jose on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003.
Caryl was born in Gilroy Nov. 29, 1912, where she lived until her marriage to Paul Cox, also of Gilroy, in 1936. They spent the next 44 years living in Southern California until their move to The Villages in 1980.
She was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and is survived by her husband Paul, daughters, Anne Campbell, of Reno, Vicki Giguiere and husband Carl, of Woodland, grandchildren, Robin Zuver and husband Rick, Ken Waugh and wife Cam, Aimee Giguiere and wife Michelle, and Megan Chase and husband Don and great-grandchildren, Cody Zuver and Anthony Julian, and many nieces and nephews.
Caryl was preceded in death by her parents, Gilroy natives, Blanch and Rowley Thomas, her sister, Jean Thomas Taylor, and her brothers, Montague and Robert Thomas.
There will be a graveside memorial gathering at noon on Sunday at the Gavilan Hills Memorial Park in Gilroy.
