There were 272 athletes who participated in spring sports at
Christopher High, 65 percent of those were Scholar Athletes,
maintaining at least a 3.0 grade point average throughout the
season.

The Cougars athletic department handed out spring sports awards earlier this month, honoring some of the season’s top performers in each sport.
Recipients are as follows:
Boys tennis: Most Valuable Player – Veasna Khay; Competitive Drive Award – Ryan Cockcroft; Most Improved – Jerry Kuang.
Boys volleyball: MVP – Emmanuel Salcedo.n Lacrosse: MVP – Manny Avila; Defensive Player of the Year – Erik Michels.
Softball: MVP – Aly Olvera; Offensive Player of the Year – Kayla Medrano; Defensive Player of the Year: Mariza Rodriguez.
Baseball: MVP – Brandon Pickens; Offensive Player of the Year – Patrick Valdez; Defensive Player of the Year – Nader Elaskary.
Gymnastics: MVP – Caitie Shannon.
Track and field: Boys MVP – Marty Ettema, girls MVP – Haylee Peterson; Most Improved – Lauryn Preeshl; Coaches’ Award – Adan Ramos Lopez; “Got to Battle” Award – Maddie Peterson.
Swimming: Team Captain Award – James Benson; Most Valuable Swimmer – Shelby O’ Hara; Most Improved – Janos Kabai.
