Dear Editor,
After reading the Dispatch Friday and Saturday, I was amazed the
city wants to do a study on the 10th Street light and the large new
influx of traffic in that area now.
I have lived here for 10 years now, at the corner of 10th and
Church streets; why waste time and money on a study?! Everybody
already knows this corner is unsafe before and after the outlets
came in.

I have seen accidents and near fatalities many times. How dare city officials say this is a low-risk area. Do they live around there? Now this corner is more unsafe and that is a fact, so why a study?
In Saturday’s column by Cynthia Walker, she doesn’t even mention the little boy killed there, or how it affected the community! Just some feel good column about the Fourth of July. Big deal. Why not say something to help the community? We need action, not some intellectual mumbo jumbo.
