â–  No. We are taxing the system (teacher’s bandwidth and students attention span) as it is. Looking into after school programs to help students with independent study opportunities could be a better focus of resources.

â–  If it’s the instructional day being longer, then no, unless there is mandatory participation of parents similar to charter schools. Why two hours? Why not three or four hours?

â–  Yes, it’s all about more time for academics. Computer programs can be used effectively as well – it’s about organizing effective instruction and devoting time to learning.

â–  WOW! That would be ideal for working families. Just think, a 9-to-5 school day. It’s a good thought and kids would probably be on time!
