The Santa Clara County Coroner’s office has released the
identity of a man who died after jumping off a building in Downtown
Gilroy after running from police Friday afternoon.
The Santa Clara County Coroner’s office has released the identity of a man who died after jumping off a building in Downtown Gilroy after running from police Friday afternoon.

According to the Coroner’s office the man was Jonathan Lee Woodard, 25, a resident of Gilroy.

Woodard was pronounced dead at a local trauma hospital shortly after he was taken into custody Friday, according to Sgt. Chad Gallacinao of the Gilroy Police Department.
