Daniel Eugene Wise, 33 years old, passed quietly surrounded by his family and friends who cared deeply for him.
Danny or Dan-O to most loved ones and friends was born in Castro Valley, CA and passed in Monterey, CA after a month long battle for his life.
Our family appreciates those who nurtured or befriended Daniel during his all too brief life. We especially recognize those who expended effort and skill in an attempt to keep him here with us.
Daniel is survived by his mother Gail Neu and father Dennis Wise as well as siblings Jennifer Silva, Garrett Masey, James Neu, brother-in-law Robert Silva and sister-in-law Alison Masey. He also leaves step-parents Katie Wise and Jim Neu; grandmother Elfrieda Berg; niece Jordyn Silva; fiance Nicole Okamura; her daughter Charette and other extended family and many friends.
A memorial service and life celebration will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church, 11140 Preston Street Castroville, CA.
The family asks that donations be considered in lieu of flowers to any organization supporting sobriety/recovery or specifically the CHOMP Foundation Sponsor Care Program.
