Rasher, 53, was found by joggers in western Gilroy at Santa Teresa Boulevard and Thomas Road. The police got the call to investigate at 10:07 a.m.
Gilroy Police Sgt. Chad Gallacinao said the death had been confirmed as a suicide and said the case had been closed.
Neither the coroner nor the Gilroy police department would release any further information as to the actual cause of death.
