Sleepy Hollow teen show
GILROY – South Valley Civic Theatre presents its teen show “Sleepy Hollow.” Performances will be held weekends from Oct. 31 to Nov. 16 at the Gilroy High School Theater. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for children and seniors. On opening night, Oct. 31 at 8 p.m., there will be free treats, and for those who come in their Halloween costume they get a $2 ticket discount. Other performances will be held Nov. 1, 2, 8, 9, 15 and 16 at 8 p.m. and Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. For more information, call SVCT at 842-SHOW.
Howl-o-ween Pet Costume Contest
GILROY – The Gilroy PETCO will hold a pet costume contest on Saturday, Oct. 26, at noon. The store contest winner will receive a $25 PETCO gift card. Kids can enter the coloring contest, and try to win a $5 PETCO gift card. All contestants will receive a Howl-o-ween goody bag filled with free surprises, and will be entered in a grand prize drawing for a year’s supply of Nutro pet food. Hometown Buffet Halloween fun
GILROY – Hometown Buffet located at 7950 Arroyo Circle in front of Wal-Mart will have a Halloween Fun Night on Wednesday, Oct. 30. Children 2 to 12 years old will receive a goody bag with a free meal when accompanied by a paying adult. They will also be eligible for a free raffle starting at 3 p.m. The raffle will be held every half-hour until 8 p.m. Come in costume. The Hometown Buffet mascot, H.T. Bee, will also be there. Wine harvest party
GILROY – Oct. 26 marks the date of the Kirigen Cellars Harvest Party, from 1 to 8 p.m. at 11550 Watsonville Road in Gilroy. GHS cheer clinic
GILROY – On Nov. 16 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Gilroy High School Varsity Cheerleaders and Songleaders will host the GHS Cheer Clinic for ages 5 and up. The clinic is for anyone interested in cheerleading or just having fun. The clinic will cover everything from stunting and cheer and jump technique to sidelines and dance. Come in comfortable clothes and shoes, bring a bag lunch, water bottle, and extra money for snacks and the camp CD ($5). The cost of the clinic is $15. A parent or guardian must be with children attending at registration on the day of the clinic from 8 to 8:30 a.m. For more information, call
