GILROY – Don’t miss “Rock ‘n’ Roll Reunion,” a singing and dancing tribute to the ’50s and ’60s. The show is a presentation of John Bisceglie and the City of Gilroy Community Services Department.
The annual Children’s Summer Theater production will take place beginning Friday, Aug. 8, and run through Sunday,
Aug. 23 at the Gilroy High School Theater, 750 W. 10th St.
Showtimes are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30. Sunday matinees are at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 each, and proceeds benefit Kids Discover Art 2004.

Take a cat home
SAN MARTIN – The San Martin Animal Shelter is currently caring for nearly 300 cats and kittens. They are desperately trying to save them all, but need people’s assistance to accomplish this.
People can help by adopting a new pet, agreeing to care for a barn cat on their land, becoming a cat foster home, volunteering to clean cages at the shelter or making a tax-deductible donation of money or supplies to the shelter. Details: 683-4186.
Voter registration drive
GILROY – Gilroy First will hold a registration drive kick-off event on Saturday, Aug. 9, at 10 a.m. at 6901 Church St. The public is invited to register to vote, help fellow citizens register and learn more about Gilroy issues. Dust off your saddle shoes
GILROY – The final concert in the free Summer Concert Series is Sunday, Aug. 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Christmas Hill Park Amphitheater. Concert goers can dust off their saddle shoes and penny loafers and enjoy a trip down memory lane with The Corvairs, who will feature tunes from the ’50s and ’60s.

Audition for dance team
MORGAN HILL – Dance Unlimited is annoucing auditions for their 2003-04 Competition Team. Auditions will take place Saturday, Aug. 16, at Dance Unlimited, 15650 Vineyard Blvd., Suite H, Morgan Hill. Get your passport here
MORGAN HILL – South Valley residents will no longer have to drive to San Jose or Hollister to submit passport applications. They can now take care of this at the Morgan Hill City Hall during most business hours.
The City Clerk’s Office has partnered with the Bureau of Consular Affair’s Passport Services and the United States Department of State to become a Passport Acceptance Agent. The clerk’s office currently accepts passport applications Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m., and Fridays by appointment only.
Each processed application will generate $30 to the City’s general fund. The City Clerk’s Office anticipates they will have processed around 65 applications during the month of July. Details: 779-7259.

GILROY – Gilroy Tennis Club will host a mixed doubles tournament Saturday, Aug. 9, from 8:30 to 12:30 p.m. The club welcomes people who are new to town or new to tennis to come join in the fun at the tennis courts at Las Animas Park, located on Wren Avenue. All levels of tennis are played. Only members can play.

Ohlone life tour
GILROY – Discover how the native Ohlone people lived and used the natural resources along Uvas Creek for their everyday needs. Meet at the Chitactac-Adams County Park exhibit shelter on Watsonville Road in Gilroy for a guided tour with activities. The tour runs from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Aug. 9.
