Try out for soccer
GILROY – Orchard Valley Youth Soccer League is holding its annual tryouts for competition teams on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 14 and 15, alternating between Rod Kelley School in Gilroy and P.A. Walsh School in Morgan Hill. Players born between Aug. 1, 1986 and Aug. 1, 1995 are invited to attend and must wear shin guards and cleats. Tryouts are free. Pitch in for Chaos
GILROY – The Gilroy Chaos Traveling Team 10 and Under Clinics will be held on Saturday, Feb. 14, at 10 a.m. and Sunday, Feb. 22, at 1 p.m., at Christmas Hill Park. This is a team for girls fast-pitch softball. Details: James Jiminez at 422-1600.
Bonfante is hiring
GILROY – Bonfante Gardens Family Theme Park will hold a welcome-back weekend and job fair on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 14 and 15, from noon to 4 p.m. both days. Bonfante is looking to hire almost 500 seasonal workers in a variety of departments such as food service, rides and merchandise.

Feed others and dance
GILROY – St. Joseph’s Family Center and the Strand Theater will hold a food drive on Sunday, Feb. 15. A ‘perfect’ play
GILROY – Pintello Comedy Theater, 8531 Church St., will present “Nobody’s Perfect,” directed by Rod Pintello, on Fridays and Saturdays, now through Feb. 21, at 8 p.m.
This comedy is about a single dad who lives with his son and mischievous father. When he wins a contest for his secretly written romance novels at a women-only publishing house, the editor wants to meet “her.”

GILROY – The City of Gilroy Community Services Department and John Bisceglie present the Children’s Winter Theater Production “Red Hot Revue,” a 1920s style multi-media extravaganza, now through Sunday, Feb. 22, at the Gilroy High School Theater, 750 W. Tenth St. Performances on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays will be at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees will be at 1 and 5 p.m.

Learn about Lupus
GILROY – The Lupus Foundation of Northern California will hold a “Lupus Education Class” on Saturday, Feb. 21, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the conference room at Saint Louise Regional Hospital, 9400 No Name Uno.
This health education class is specifically designed for patients and family members to learn about lupus. Learn what lupus is and the treatment methods and coping mechanisms for dealing with the disease.
Cost is $25 for one person and $40 for two coming together, and it may be waived for financial hardships. All entrants must register by Wednesday, Feb. 18. Details: 954-8600.
