Takko-Machi residents 'shaken up' after earthquake

A magnitude-3.0 earthquake shook Morgan Hill about 12 p.m. today.

The temblor rattled the area about 11 miles north of Morgan Hill, and about 13 miles southeast of San Jose, according the U.S. Geological Survey web site. The quake was detected about four miles below the earth’s surface.

An employee at the Morgan Hill Police dispatch center said no one called to report local damage or injuries related to the earthquake.
