Eliodora Valdez Rios passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at the age of 91. She was born in Del Rio, TX. She and her husband retired from their own bar and gas station businesses after 30 years and moved to Gilroy, CA. in 1970 with her family.
 She is survived by her children, George Jr. of San Juan Bautista, CA, Berta (Raul) De La Rosa of Hollister, CA, Hector (Dolores) of Sabinal, TX, Maria (Albert) Rocha of Gilroy, Gilbert (Dolores) of Gustine, CA, Raul (Laura) of Reno, NV, Raymundo of Gilroy, Raynaldo of Gilroy, Norma (Marcus) Sigmund of Granite Bay, CA, Lucinda (Bill) Florek of Hollister, CA, and Fred of Gilroy; her 21 grandchildren, Priscilla, George III, Rosemary, Cathy, George, Jr., J.R., Hector Jr., Rene, Hilda, Anna, Elizabeth, Geneve, Michelle, Eliodora, Evelyn, Reyna, William III, Krystal, Jaclyn, Marilyn, and Katelyn, and 32 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
 She was preceded in death by her husband, Jorge (George) Rios , her parents, Maria Isabel and Doroteo Valdez and her sisters Consuelo Balatazar, Lupe Lumbreres, Ramona Nunez and brother Trinidad Valdez.
 All those whose lives she has touched are invited to attend services in her honor. Vigil Services will be held Thursday, October 25, 2012, at 7:00 P.M. at Habing Family Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church followed by burial at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Gilroy, CA. Â
