Gilroy – A field of 27 teams will compete in the 22nd annual Men’s Garlic Festival Softball Tournament the weekend of July 21-22 on four local fields.
Los Amigos of Arroyo Grande and the Regulators from Gilroy begin play at Christmas Hill Park’s major diamond at 9am on Saturday July 21, the site of the Gilroy Garlic Festival Tournament scheduled the next weekend.
Other cities represented in the ‘E’ caliber event are San Jose, Morgan Hill, Hollister and Salinas. The double-elimination event concludes with the finals at 5:45pm Sunday at Christmas Hill.
Other 9am match-ups are PCS of Hollister against Red Rum, Oak Creek Plumbing of Hollister opposite Uribe Machinery, 2NQ against Louie & the Outlaws.
Czar’s Crew and Buzz-N-By-U compete at 10:15am. Other 10:15 match-ups are Cali Boyz and the Bomb Squad, Los Pistoleros and the Mechanics of Salinas, Dee’z Nutz opposite the Hustlers.
The 11:30am pairings are All Out and CR Communications, Keading Performance and Walton & Sons Masonry, DS Builders and ConAgra Foods.
Drawing first-round byes were Campbell’s Towing, Whaaat, Red Dogz, Players and Gaeta’s Taqueria.
