Gilroy quarterback Jon Jon Castro breaks from the pocket while looking to throw down field during a passing drill on Monday. Castro and the Mustangs went hard on Monday afternoon in preparation for their Aug. 25 kickoff.

Gilroy got a taste of postseason success a year ago and has been training this past Spring and through the summer thus far to not only get more of that success, but to advance even further.
The Mustangs have been lifting and getting field reps this week at Gilroy while also attending workouts with top opponents, including heading up to Aptos on July 7 and heading down to Monterey on Tuesday for 7-on-7.
Coach Jubenal Rodriguez said he brings his entire team, not just skill players, so they can work on bonding during the travel and become a true team.
