Men’s CC

Gilroy – The Gilroy NAPA Slammers handed Blackout Window Tinting its first loss in eight outings with a 12-7 decision Monday in Men’s CC League play at Christmas Hill Park.

The Slammers moved to 2-0 atop the six-team circuit by erasing a 6-2 deficit with eight runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. Ralph Ortiz capped the comeback with a three-run home run. Abel Martinez sparked a two-run NAPA sixth with an RBI-single.

Mike Montenegro went 3-for-3 and scored three Slammer runs. Gary Barboa went 2-for-2 and Alex Pena scored two runs for Blackout Window, the first-half CCC champion.

Jus 2 Party joined the Slammers at 2-0 with a 21-5 victory over Going Somewhere.

Jimmy Tomasetti collected a single, double and triple for the Party. Mike Howe singled and tripled for the winners, scoring three runs. Mark Ferguson stroked a two-run double for Going Somewhere.

Rhino Wiring is 1-1 after defeating Temple Inland 17-8. Scott Rader lashed a home run and two singles, Manuel Suarez a single, double and triple for the Rhinos. Joe Serrano scored four runs and Vince Soares posted three singles for Temple Inland.

Men’s C

The Las Animas Sweepers gained sole possession of first place in the Men’s C League at 2-0 Monday with a 12-3 nod over Stubby’s Sports Bar & Grill at Las Animas Park.

Dave Vogel scored twice as Stubby’s grabbed a 3-0 lead after four innings. The Sweepers exploded for 10 runs in the fifth, keyed by a three-run home run from Mitchell Ponza and a three-run triple by Donnie Gooding. Kevin Orozco led the Sweepers with three hits. Roy Alba went 3-for-3 for Stubby’s.

Pro Electric powered past Kline’s Plumbing 18-4 to leave both teams at 1-1.

Eddie Adame crushed a home run, double and two singles for the Electricians. Chris Adame and Danny Sandoval each collected four singles, Matias Franco three doubles for Pro Electric. Duffy Kline went 2-for-4 and scored twice for Kline’s Plumbing.

Jarrod Hernandez singled and scored on an Angel Badillo single in the bottom of the eighth inning to earn Los Amigos Construction an 18-17 win over Feather Haven Mill.

Steve Sorce tripled and scored in the top of the seventh as Feather Haven scored twice for a 17-16 lead. Jason Trujillo drew Los Amigos even in the bottom of the seventh with a two-out RBI-single. Trujillo went 5-for-5, Tony Maquinalez and Hernandez each 4-for-5 for the Builders. Mike Leslie clubbed two home runs for Feather Haven Mill.

Men’s D

The Bomb Squad opened the second half of the Men’s D League softball program by trimming Ellite Barbers 6-4 Friday at Christmas Hill Park.

Dave Espinoza tripled and scored on a Mark Salazar sacrifice fly in the Bomb Squad second, then homered for a 2-0 cushion in the fourth. Anthony Lucio’s sacrifice fly put Ellite on the board in the fifth, and the Barbers grabbed a 4-2 lead in the top of the sixth when Eric Tolleson hit an RBI-double and scored on a Mark Sotelo single.

Bomb Squad regained the lead with four runs in the sixth, keyed by consecutive two-run singles from Espinoza and Salazar.

Danny Delong stroked four hits to pace Dan Keith Septics past Dr. Tile 16-4. Tito Flores lined a triple and two singles, while Rick Trujillo scored four runs for Dan Keith Septics. Marco Delgado cracked a two-run single for Dr. Tile.

Rosso’s Rebels claimed a forfeit win over Team Hair FX.

Men’s BB

Czar Construction, the first-half Men’s BB League champion, opened the BB second half by defeating Interstate Fence-Dee’z Nutz 13-9 Friday at Las Animas Park.

Interstate-Dee’z built a 9-4 lead after four innings, sparked by a two-run triple from Junior Gutierrez.

Ryan Dequin clubbed a two-run home run in the Czar fifth. Czar followed with a seven-run explosion in the top of the seventh. Dequin roped a two-run triple and scored the tying run on a one-out double by Benji Dequin. Bobby Reggiani went 4-for-4 and Benny Sanchez accounted for a double and two singles for the winners.

Abie Espinosa went 4-for-4 to lead Craig Avila Bail Bonds by the Good Fellas 24-9. Rich Rodriquez Jr. managed a homer, double, single and sacrifice fly for the defending league champion. Rodney Sakai added three triples and a double. Fred Santos went 3-for-3 and Santos Gutierrez hit a homer, double and single for the Good Fellas.

Jose Mendoza, Chris Brickner and E. J. Mendoza each homered to lift DLM Electric by Bad News 21-4. Jose Melendez went 3-for-3 for Bad News.

Co-Rec D

Chris Adame, Joel Gaeta and Daniel Garcia each went 4-for-4 as All Out opened the Co-Rec D League second half with a 16-4 victory over the Big Kahunas Sunday at Las Animas. Eddie Adame hit a two-run homer for All Out. Mark Logan stroked two doubles for the Big Kahunas.

South County Rockery earned a forfeit win over the Bullies.

Joel Vaca hit two home runs to lead Yeah So past Team Hair FX 16-9 in the Co-Rec C League second-half opener Sunday at Christmas Hill.

Cameron Bautista went 5-for-6 and Erick Jimenez poked two doubles and two singles for Yeah So. Mark Rodriguez doubled and singled, Dennis Subia scored two runs for Team Hair FX, the first-half D champion.

Dee’z Nutz & Cherriez earned a forfeit win over Chicks N’ Sticks.
