Theresa G. Vargas

The beloved soul of Theresa G. Vargas slipped away quietly into the loving hands of God on Thursday, December 3rd surrounded by her family. She will be missed very much by her husband of 53 years Jess Vargas. She was preceded in death by her daughter Annette. She was blessed with five children, Jess, Mario, Gary and David. She had nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was also blessed with a large extended family. She was employed by Perrelli & Filice cannery.

Carmel Grace (Alosi) Barbano

Carmel Grace (Alosi) Barbano was born on December 17, 1924 in Los Angeles, CA and passed away on March 27, 2009 at the Mabie Southside Nursing Center in Hollister, CA at the age of 84.

Frank T. Medina

Frank T. Medina passed away Saturday at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital at the age of 78. Born and raised in Hollister, having lived here all his life. Frank had been in farming most of his life, along with starting a tomato cannery in Gilroy and raised row crops and cattle. He also was a partner in Betabel R.V. Park. He was a member of the Hollister Elk's Lodge, Gourmet Lunch Club and the Boosters club. Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, daily Pedro with friends at Ridgemark, trips to Reno with his family, vegetable gardening and sharing of crops. Frank loved to make friends laugh with his quick wit. He also enjoyed his work and meeting friends for lunch. Frank was a true family man and loved his family immensely.

Joseph G. Rose November 18, 1919 – August 2, 2012

Joseph G. Rose passed away at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital at the age of 92 years. A native and lifelong resident of Hollister, Joseph attended local schools, served with the U.S. Army in Central Europe and Northern France Theatre, and was employed by Ferry Morse Seed Company for 40 years. He was a member of the Elk’s Lodge and Loyal Order Of Moose.

Linda Burnett

Linda Burnett, 66, native and life-time resident of Gilroy, passed away on Friday, Nov. 12, 2010 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was at home surrounded by friends and family. Linda is the daughter of Anna Burnett and Ray Burnett (deceased), sister of Clayton Burnett (Roni), aunt to Riley, and mother to Laramie, her beloved Australian Shepherd. She also had a large extended family not only blood related, but related by great love and friendship.

Frances Sanchez Frusetta

Frances B. Frusetta passed away Dec. 7, 2009 in Hollister , CA at the age of 94. She is preceded in death by her husband Pat Frusetta, parents, Pedro and Melania Sanchez from Salamanca, Spain, her sisters; Tommy Kennedy, Alice Cardinalli, and Mary Gee.
