Juan Andres Polo
Juan A. Polo aged 91 years passed away at his residence with his family at his side. Juan was a native of Salamanca, Spain, was educated in Spain, and came to San Benito County 52 years ago. He was employed as a cannery worker for 27 years until he retired. He was an active member of the Sociedad Espanola De San Benito; Sacred Heart Church; and belonged to the Teamsters Local No 890 of Salinas. His interests included the U.B.E. Lodge barbeques and dances; visiting with his friends at the Senior Citizen Center – playing bingo there and at Sacred Heart Parish; going to the Indian casinos, and watching boxing matches on the television-"he wouldn't miss it if one was televised", said his family. Juan's wife Nicolasa Polo passed away in December 1989. He is survived by his children and their spouses Mary Polo Puente, husband Mike of San Francisco, Isidro Polo, spouse Linda of Hollister, Angela Polo-Dixon, spouse Bob of Ventura, Johnny Polo, spouse Jean of Campbell, and Agustina Polo Gallegos, spouse Emilio of Hollister; 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, a brother Marceliano Polo of Spain and many nieces and nephews.

Lou Hudson passed away peacefully at his home on December 7, 2009. He was 90 years old. Lou was the beloved husband of the late Arlene Hudson. He is survived by his two loving daughters Lori Dawson and Nancy Davin. He also has 3 grandchildren and 4 great- grandchildren.

Gracie was born and raised San Juan Bautista, CA and passed away in Orland, CA where she raised race horses and operated a lay up boarding facility. She is survived by sons John and Larry Barnard, 8 grandchildren,and many great-granchildren and her favorite cousin Nancy Armer.She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Barnard, her father Manuel Dias, her sister Dorothy Kinkade, brother Artie Dias, Uncle George and Aunt Tudie Dias.Graveside services will be at San Juan Cemetary at 2:00 P.M. JoAnne C. Moore
JoAnne C. Moore passed away due to a brief illness at her Morgan Hill home at the age of 60. She was born in Gilroy and lived in Santa Clara County for about 45 years. She was raised on the Sargeant Ranch in San Juan Bautista. She was a member of the Chippewa-Cree Tribe Rocky Boy Indian Reservation in Montana, The United Sons of Badoc and Friends. She graduated from Gilroy High School, was a Certified Nurses' Assistant and worked in home health for over 140 families in Gilroy and Morgan Hill. She enjoyed ballroom dancing with her husband, Mark, who she married in 1985 in Gilroy.
