music in the park, psychedelic furs

Dear Editor,

This letter is being written in support of Patricia Finley, the mail carrier for our neighborhood, and to protest her termination. We have found her to be friendly, helpful and absolutely professional at her job. We have had no experiences of not having mail delivered.

What we have noticed is how difficult it is for her to deliver the mail!

We receive our mail at a bank of boxes on the corner of Violet and Zinnia. There is almost always a car parked in front of the boxes, because one of the homes on our block houses a large number of residents whose cars are parked all over the neighborhood. What we believe would make sense would be to paint the curb in front of mailboxes red so that no one would park there and there would be sufficient space for the carrier to pull in to the curb.

It is ridiculous what mail carriers have to do to act to the mailboxes. Further, any residents who place their trash cans in front of their mailboxes are being inconsiderate and deserve not to have their mail delivered.

To say that Ms. Finley is “disloyal to the U.S. Government” is ludicrous. She is simply trying to do her job.
