The New England Patriots have nothing on Gilroy’s Rotary Club, which donated $44,371 to help 54 local charities.
Some of the beneficiaries include: City of Gilroy Gang Task Force, for gang tattoo removal; Gilroy Police for National Night Out; Parks and Rec for art and sports supplies; Glen View Elementary for music supplies and reading incentives; Gilroy High for music, books and arts supplies; City of Gilroy for Breakfast with Santa Claus; Las Animas Elementary for iPads for kindergartners.
The list is breathtaking and shows great imagination for how to share charity with the community.Â
