Golf: Gilroy G.C. to host Adult Junior Championship

The Gilroy Golf Course will host its Adult Junior Championship starting at 11 a.m. Oct. 6.         
The tournament is for juniors, 17 and under, partnered with an adult 21 and over. It’s a front-nine scramble with an alternate shot back-nine format. Ages 10 and under, and the 11 and 12-year-old divisions play nine holes, while the 13-14, 15 and older play 18.
The fee is $95 per team, $80 for the 9-hole age groups. The fee includes golf with cart, a tournament t-shirt, drinks and snacks and an awards BBQ with trophies for the top finishers in each age group.
