GILROY – Hi-Energy Networks opened the second half of the Co-Rec C Softball League with a 5-4 win over El Fuego Sunday at Las Animas Park.

Shawna Snakenberg of Hi-Energy lined a two-run double in the bottom of the sixth inning to snap a 3-3 tie.

Kathy Van Eck and Chris Baty collected RBI-singles as Hi-Energy Networks built a 3-1 lead after three innings. Marcelino Cortez hit an RBI-triple and scored in on a two-out error in the sixth to lift El Fuego into a brief 3-3 tie.

After Snakenberg’s heroics, Chris Hatch walked and scored on an error in the El Fuego seventh.

Gilbert Ramirez garnered five hits to lead Team Hair FX past Out to Play-Pro Electric 27-13.

Carissa Kozacek provided the lone Team Hair FX home run. Jason Mesa scored five Team Hair FX runs, and Tracy Nelson and Ryan Boyd had four apiece. Louis Bobadilla powered a home run and two doubles for Out to Play-Pro Electric.

Art Garcia went 5-for-5 and James Lopez added three hits and scored three runs for the losers.

RSW Racing, the first-half C champion, opened the second-half B campaign with a 9-3 nod over Blackout Window Tinting.

Marco Lopez paced the Racers with a three-run homer and RBI-double. Liz Martinez scored three RSW runs.

Terry Smith and Chris Velador each doubled and singled for Blackout Window Tinting.

Frank Vargas Taxes moved to 7-0 in B action with a 14-4 decision over Gaeta’s Ballers. Anthony Corral hit a two-run homer, Paul Garcia popped a two-run triple and Liz Adams hit a two-run double for Vargas Taxes.

Jesse Silva went 3-for-4 for Gaeta’s Ballers.
