The call came into dispatchers at 2:36 p.m. Firefighters from the GFD were joined by CalFire and Santa Clara County fire crews from Morgan Hill in battling the blaze. Crews controlled the fire by 3:30 p.m., said GFD Capt. Shaun Peyghambary, who added that seven engines responded.

“It was an extensive fire,” he said.

He said firefighters on scene described the blaze as “blowing out of every window.”

Two occupants inside the home suffered minor burns but refused medical treatment. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
