Dear Editor:

Is Dennis Taylor the new Oprah? Is what he’s saying is that he was thinking of slowing down so he can spend time with his family? But since seeing a movie he realizes that he is serving the greater good of Gilroy by spreading the word of liberalism? Wow! That must have been one heck of a movie.

Dennis said the movie was “Fahrenheit 9/11.” I was invited to a preview of that movie more then a month ago, and I am not sure we saw the same film (although I saw it for free, and took the $20 and donated it to the homeless). What I saw was a movie that distorts the facts, was totally one sided, and had a clear-cut agenda. I could go on and on about the film, pointing out each fact that was wrong, but I know Dennis. He’ll say, “Well, of course you don’t like Michael Moore he’s anti-Bush.”

So I won’t waste my time. Dennis, the film you should have seen is “Michael Moore Hates America,” directed by Michael Wilson. This is a film that points out how documentaries are made and how easy it is for the director to make you think the way he or she wants you to.

I also would like to ask why you always resort to name calling, the “Archie Bunker Boys,” etc. To me it takes a feeble mind to do this, why can’t you just make your point, and backup what you say with facts, instead of calling people names. In my opinion that is “hate speak,” and in this politically correct state we live in that could one day be a crime, as it is in Pennsylvania.

Another question I would like is why do you hate Wal-Mart? I mean if you don’t like them fine, don’t shop there, but why do you have to tell me not to shop there. I know, I know, you never told me not to shop there; you just said go to church on Sunday and think about the people who get nothing for their labor.

Give me a break, take a look at what you are wearing, look at the labels as to where they were made, then maybe you should start thinking about your choices.

Are you the new Oprah? I don’t think so. Therefore take your halo and your wings you have gotten, and turn them in they most likely were for someone else.
