GILROY – Gavilan College invites families to attend “Palace of the Minotaur,” this weekend’s production by the Gavilan College Children’s Repertory Theater.

“Palace of the Minotaur” recounts the Greek myth of Theseus and Ariadne. This is the story of a labyrinth, a minotaur, and a hero named Theseus who saves the day.

Come out and delight in some Greek mythology that is written especially for children. Greek mythology includes some of the most entertaining stories ever told, with classic and interesting characters. These stories tell us what the ancient Greeks thought about their world – how it began, why summer gives way to autumn and the leaves fall, why some people are lucky and some are not.

“Palace of the Minotaur” runs Friday and Saturday, at 7:30 p.m. at the Gavilan College Theater, Gilroy campus, 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd. Tickets for the show are $8 for adults, $7 for seniors and students and $6 for children under 12. Tickets are available for purchase on-line at www.ticketguys.com, or at the door.
