Klaus R. Hilbert von Hagen December 4, 1939 – August 30, 2014

Klaus was a dedicated school teacher for more than 40 years. He taught in the Business Department in the South San Francisco School District for most of this time before he retired. He then substitute taught in Palm Springs and lastly, in the Morgan Hill School District. He loved his substitute teaching, always trying hard to keep the students progressing in their studies rather than wasting a day. Most teachers he substituted for always appreciated his efforts.
He wanted to give many thanks to all the teachers and staff of the Morgan Hill School District for being so kind and helpful during his last days. His neighbors were also a great help to him and many thanks to them.
He was a native of Germany coming the US in his twenties. He put himself through college while working many different jobs then getting his degree and teaching credential from San Francisco State College.
He leaves behind his loving partner of 35 years, Vernon (Skip) Brown. He also leaves family and friends in Germany and other parts of the world.
His great love was for Great Dane dogs. He was also a concerned advocate of animal welfare. His favorite charity was: Great Dane Rescue of Northern California, c/o 7691 Country Road, Loomis, CA 95650.
