You might think that with all the expensive, designer named stores at the Gilroy Outlets, that there’s not much affordable for last minute holiday shoppers.
Forget it. There are bargains in the most exclusive-sounding stores. We did a search of Saks, Michael Kors, Kate Spade and the like and found great, affordable main gifts and stocking stuffers.
And just think how happy you will make people with designer label items that would cost 10 times more in the regular stores.
Here are some suggestions:
French Soaps at Saks Fifth Avenue
You could pay four times more for a collection of soaps called “Not All French Soaps Are Created Equal.” Or you could buy them for a great under the tree gift at Saks for $19.99. Treat your loved one to some European excellence.
Handbags and Glad Rags
Some of the best deals are on change purses, wallets or clutches. Coach has clutches for as low as $29, most of them are cheetah print, so if that’s not quite the style of the person you’re looking for they also have a good selection on ones that are solid colored for $34 as well as some for $39. Calvin Klein has a good selection of cross body bags for $29.99.
Calvin Klein also has a good 75 percent off section, where you can get lots of great deals on blouses, for as low as $17.38.
A purse that looks like a slice of pizza will melt someone’s heart. The designer original is at Saks for $32.99.
Kate Spade has 60 percent off of most of the store, you can get some great deals on some of their jewelry, like a bow bracelet for $15.20.
Go Pro or Go Casual
A great gift the guy in your life will get a lot of use out of would be a professional button down; Calvin Klein has a nice selection of them for $29.99. For a more casual guy you could go for a pair or two of Levis, which are $39.99 each if you buy two or more. They also have several styles of jeans for $24.99.
Upscale Kids
While there are almost no kids clothes in the higher end designer stores, you can score great deals on onesies or kids T-shirts at Carters and the Children’s Place. Both have onesies and T-shirts in the sales section that start at $4.99.
Soft and Fashionable Robes
Exquisite robes are a big trend this year and the prices are staggeringly low at Saks Fifth Avenue. You can buy designer brand women’s robes for as low as $25. You can also buy a holiday-themed red children’s party dress for $40.
