If you break an incandescent light bulb, please use the following clean-up procedures.
1. Get a broom and dustpan.
2. Sweep the broken glass onto the dustpan.
3. Empty the dustpan of the broken glass into the trash.
4. Put away the broom and dustpan.
Now, if you break a compact fluorescent light bulb, please follow the 3-page procedures issued by the EPA (http://www.epa.gov/cfl/cflcleanup.pdf). Hopefully you will not fatally poison yourself or your family before you secure and decontaminate the area.
