Strip club 2-for-1 specials and local girls get to show what they’ve got

Dear Editor,

It doesn’t take rocket science to see that Gilroy’s Planning Commission will be presented the opportunity to “stimulate” local economic growth if they approve the opening of a strip club where El Amigo restaurant is located. Just think, not only new jobs for Gilroy, but the possibility for local girls to legally show off what they’ve got.

Since the club would be a stone’s throw from Home Depot, maybe the two can team up for 2-for-1 specials. And consider the additional business that will be generated for the local motels, drug dealers, etc. In fact, this could expand to all kinds of in-town flesh-clubs and make Gilroy comparable with downtown San Francisco. Just what we need to put money into the city coffers. Sounds like a resurrection of the Crazy Coyote bar plus more trouble for GPD.

How can City Council consider this ‘huge draw for crime and violence?’

Dear Editor,

I just looked at the headline “Putting the strip in strip mall.”

I give our powers that be more credit … how can they even consider something like this, it’s a huge draw for crime and violence?

I thought we were on a mission to RID our town of crime and violence.
