Lillian fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse and worked for 26 years as a psychiatric nurse at Bryce Hospital in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Lillian will forever be remembered for her incredible love of family and wonderful sense of humor. A lifelong Christian, she was a member of Gavilan Hills New Thought Community where the service was not over until she said, “Thank you, Jesus.”

She is survived by her daughter Ramona Font and son-in-law Carlos Font with whom she lived in Morgan Hill; grandchildren Maria Buscher of Morgan Hill, Carlos Font of Morgan Hill, Stephanie Font of Morgan Hill and Vince Font of Roy, Utah; great-grandchildren Tyler Buscher, Danielle Buscher, Brandon Buscher and Joseph Fleener; and countless friends both here in California and in her native Alabama.

Lillian was preceded in death by her daughter Janet, who died in infancy 70 years ago on the same day that Lillian passed away.

Services are at 3 p.m. today at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Memory Hill Gardens in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
