Lisa Faria was recognized and awarded a certificate of appreciate by the Gilroy City Council for her service on the Public Arts Committee. Lisa was a member of the committee from Jan. 1, 2007- Dec. 31, 2013.Â
Members are chosen for their demonstrated background in art education or expertise in the visual arts, public art, art management, architecture and related design professions, art history, art criticism or arts advocacy. The P.A.C. is responsible for developing the Public Art Plan, ensuring the quality of artwork created under the plan and developing budgets and scope of projects. The P.A.C. further helps to create an enhanced visual environment within our city by encouraging creative collaboration, and promoting tourism and economic vitality with public art viewed by the community, in city facilities and neighborhoods.Â
