Steer your transportation future

Would you downsize your house to reduce your commute? What’s more important – preserving open space or providing adequate housing?

The Metropolitan Transportation Commission wants to know what the top priorities in transportation in the next 30 years are for residents and is asking them to take an online survey. The responses will help guide how the commission will invest and plan to develop transportation in the nine-county Bay Area through 2035. Toys for Tots drop-off points announced

Several businesses and civic groups have become drop-off points for the Toys for Tots toy drive. Michele Ing’s office of Edward Jones Investments in Gilroy will be a drop-off point. Her office is located at 7877 Wren Ave., Suite A. Also, the Gilroy Elks RV group, The Garlic Roamers, has started its collection drive at the Gilroy Elks Lodge, 2765 Hecker Pass Highway. Residents can contribute by bringing unwrapped toys. The annual Toys for Tots drive is in conjuunction with the U.S. Marines.
