San Jose Repertory Theatre presents the California premiere of “Making Tracks,” a rock musical about a journey into America’s Asian-American history. The play runs through April 17 and incorporates dance, original songs and music in 12 scenes that chronicle the building of the railroads, the experience of Angel Island, the famed Forbidden City nightclub in San Francisco and the World War II internment camps. A young Asian American rock musician discovers the stories behind his family’s six-generation struggle to find their identity in America. Tickets range from $22 to $52 depending on seat location and play time and date.
