Morgan Hill police are looking for a suspect who allegedly robbed a man at gunpoint in the area of Del Monte Avenue and Wright Avenue last night.

At around 6:20 p.m. Monday night, officers responded to a report of a robbery in which a Morgan Hill man was the victim.

According to a report from the Morgan Hill Police Department, the 31-year-old victim was walking on Wright Avenue when the alleged robber approached him from behind and shoved a gun into his back, demanding money. The victim refused, and a brief fight ensued in which the victim was punched several times, according to the police report.

The suspect stole the victim’s wallet and ran into the passenger’s side of a waiting vehicle, which fled the area.

The alleged robber is described as a light-skinned male adult, possibly Hispanic, 20 to 25 years old, with a black mustache, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants. The getaway vehicle was described as a black Acura. No description is available for the vehicle’s driver.

No injuries were sustained during the robbery, and the victim refused medical treatment.
