2003, following a lengthy illness.
Mary A. Delgado passed away at her home in Gilroy on Aug. 29, 2003, following a lengthy illness.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Edward Delgado of Gilroy; her daughter and her husband, Nicole and Fred Gonzalez of Gilroy, and her son Christopher Delgado of Gilroy. She is also survived by her parents, Joe and Carmen Garcia of Santa Clara; her brother, Joe Garcia of Santa Clara, her sisters, Irene Kilmer of San Jose and Rebecca Sheets of Rocklin; and her grandchildren, Jessica, Aaron and Mariah Gonzalez all of Gilroy. Her mother-in-law, Ignacia Delgado of Santa Clara and her wonderful nieces and nephews also survive her.

Mary was born in Bakersfield 54 years ago. Mary was raised in Santa Clara, graduated from Santa Clara High School and moved to Gilroy in 1981. She was a program specialist at Gavilan College for the last few years. Mary was a member of Gilroy LULAC and volunteered many hours for the betterment of her community. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends.

Visitation will be held today from 5 to 8 p.m., with the Rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. at Habing Family Funeral Home. Services will begin on Thursday at 9 a.m. at the funeral home and then proceed to St. Mary’s Church for a Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m.

Family would appreciate donations to St. Mary’s Church in her memory.
