McTeacher Night

South Valley Middle School will benefit from a McTeacher’s Night fundraiser from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at McDonald’s, located at 797 First St. in Gilroy. The restaurant will donate a portion of its sales from that time period to the middle school.

McTeacher’s Night is a fundraising event designed to provide financial support to local schools. Many teachers and volunteers including SVMS Principal Anisha Munshi will “work” at Gilroy McDonald’s, greeting customers, working the drive-thru window and assisting customers from behind the counter. Families of students and local school supporters are invited to visit McDonald’s to support the fundraiser.

“We are delighted to work with South Valley on this special evening to raise money for their programs,” said Steve Peat, McDonald’s owner/operator in Gilroy. “McDonald’s franchised and company-owned restaurants throughout the Greater Bay Area are extremely supportive of education. Our McTeacher’s Night fundraiser is one way to demonstrate our commitment to schools and to our Gilroy community.”
