– The Klarinet Kapers Quartet has received a grant from the
International Clarinet Association to sponsor a composition contest
for high school and college students who reside or go to school in
Santa Clara County.
GILROY – The Klarinet Kapers Quartet has received a grant from the International Clarinet Association to sponsor a composition contest for high school and college students who reside or go to school in Santa Clara County.

First prize is $350; Second prize is $250. Winning compositions will be featured on a Klarinet Kapers Quartet Recital Program. All entrants will receive written comments from the Klarinet Kapers and a composer.

Applications and guideline are available from the Klarinet Kapers Quartet at 226-0347 or by email from ch**************@cs.com. Applications are due Dec. 1, 2002. Compositions are due Feb. 1, 2003.

The Klarinet Kapers Quartet has been performing throughout the Bay Area since 1992.

In addition to presenting formal recitals, the quartet has performed at weddings, schools, senior centers, shopping malls, private homes, festivals, wineries and also has been heard in a live broadcast on KKUP radio.
