DEAR EDITOR:
As the Principal at Eliot School, I want to tell Jan Berstein Chargin that I couldn’t agree with her more. In the four years that I have been at this school, I have had not problems with anyone in this neighborhood.
I, like her, have found the families in this neighborhood, especially the ones now able to attend our school, to be hard working, friendly and committed to their children’s education. It is unfortunate that the location of the Slingerland program has become such an issue for some as the future of the program is decided.
I feel fortunate to work in this neighborhood, and I am extremely excited about the fact that the families in this neighborhood will have a beautiful, new school for their children to attend soon.
