The hearing for five young men accused of killing Morgan Hill teen Tara Romero in 2011 was continued again Monday, and a court-appointed doctor who evaluated one of the suspects who claimed to be mentally incompetent found he was faking his condition, according to authorities. 

Gilroy Police officers arrested a 50-year-old former Hollister middle school teacher Monday on charges of allegedly having an ongoing relationship with a minor.

The Gilroy Police Department arrested four of six suspects allegedly involved with an attempted gang-related murder that occurred at 7:54 p.m. April 27 on the 200 block of Farrell Avenue.

The former Gilroy Unified School District Board of Education trustee who is already facing charges for swindling $52,000 from a leading South County nonprofit organization, as well as billing an engineering firm for meetings that supposedly never occurred is now being accused of misusing thousands of dollars from his 2010 campaign donations.
