Vigil tonight for missing Sierra LaMar
It’s been one month since Sierra LaMar’s parents discovered their 15-year-old Morgan Hill daughter was missing. Tonight, Sierra’s family will hold a special vigil and balloon release at Burnett Elementary, 85 Tilton Ave., at 6:30 p.m. to mark the one-month anniversary.Â

Police blotter: Sex crimes against a minor, DUI
The Gilroy Police Department recently made arrests for a variety of crimes, including sex crimes against a minor, burglary, possession of a controlled substance for sale and inflicting bodily injury on a child. All arrests were recorded in the GPD blotter between Oct. 29 and Nov. 6. All suspects remain innocent until proven guilty, and an appearance in the arrest log does not signify guilt for the listed crime/s.
Five more Garlic Fest claims filed against city
Five more victims of the Gilroy Garlic Festival mass shooting—including the family of Keyla Salazar—have filed claims for damages against the city for death, injuries and other trauma suffered as a result of the incident.
