A joint funeral will be held for Martha Gutierrez, Abel Gutierrez and Lucero Luna-Gutierrez on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Saint Mary’s Church.

Stacy Lonnberg, the 51-year-old Gilroy woman who is charged with murder for allegedly driving drunk and causing a Jan. 14 car accident that killed her husband and daughter, is scheduled to enter a plea on Thursday at the Santa Clara County Superior Court at 2 p.m.

The sentencing of the former San Jose policer officer from Gilroy who pleaded no contest to two counts of unlawful sexual contact with two teen boys is slated for April 30.

Sierra LaMar, 15, remains missing 11 days since she was last seen before leaving to catch her school bus in Morgan Hill. The public is now being asked to volunteer in a search party organized by the KlaasKids Foundations that could attract hundreds of people.

No new evidence. No new leads.

Still hampered by a dearth of leads, law enforcement authorities began to swarm the areas surrounding the home of missing 15-year-old Sierra LaMar Saturday morning. 

The motorist suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol when he struck a man who died as a result of the accident last fall was in court Tuesday, but his hearing was postponed. 

UPDATE: Dennis Leffew, the San Jose driver who was recently charged with vehicular manslaughter in the Nov. 6 crash that killed Gavilan College basketball player Andrel Gaines, turned himself in Monday and is being held on a $250,000 bail in the San Mateo County Jail, according to Karen Guidotti, chief deputy with the San Mateo County DA’s Office. 

Santa Clara County law enforcement officials announced Thursday they found a purse containing “neatly folded” clothing that belonged to missing 15-year-old Sierra LaMar, and they expanded their search by covering a larger area in north Morgan Hill, and devoting search dogs and other resources to the efforts.
