After 90 minutes of contentious debate, Gilroy City Council postponed a decision on where to locate the incoming high-speed rail line.

For months there has been controversy swirling around the potential advent of High Speed Rail in our community. Many people wish it would not come at all. Others have been hoping for more details about how it will effect Gilroy, which have been lacking until recently.

A Gilroy resident, who said the city broke state law by not informing the public about the 235 trees it plans to cut down, filed suit last week in Santa Clara County Superior Court asking that the project be stopped.
